Mechanical Technician

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team at Fife Victoria Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based on a shift pattern that includes working on weekends and evenings. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Carry out the delivery of maintenance and reactive maintenance of the mechanical infrastructure for the hospital
  • Core elements will include Health and Safety, communication at all levels, assisting and advising management on statutory compliance, safe and efficient use of resources
  • Maintain and update the planned maintenance system based within Maximo
  • There is a varied selection of mechanical systems to maintain such as heating, cooling and ventilation as well as Medical Gas Piped Systems

Who are we looking for?

  • Mechanical qualification to minimum of HNC (or equivalent) level
  • A thorough working knowledge and understanding of general HVAC systems and Medical Gas Piped Systems is required to enable the job holder to not only maintain but also to competently investigate, diagnose and implement routine repairs to these systems

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.

Commercial Gas Engineer

As a Commercial Gas Engineer you will be joining our team at Equans working in partnership with TFL (Transport for London). This is a highly valued partnership for Equans and one which provides a vital service to community both locally and nationally. What will you deliver?

  • Undertake planned maintenance activities and asset servicing to SFG20 standards
  • Carry out repairs and rectification of faults and or minor works as required to return assets to service
  • Communicate works progress to the Piped Services Supervisor regularly and maintain contract to ensure all works are completed within the desired timeframe
  • Review all service and report documentation for accuracy
  • Ensure all works are completed on time in line with legal statutory requirements and company procedures
  • Maintain all records associated to ensuring the services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and ensuring their availability on request
  • Carry out allocated routine PPMs and any other reactive works or tasks as directed
  • To assist and support the operational engineering function while also conducting your operational maintenance duties, including assisting the management team in customer focused duties and inspections
  • Be client and public facing maintaining good conduct and code of practice at all times
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with the Health and Safety at work act 1974

Mobile Supervisor

Piping Engineer

Dit ga je doen als Piping Engineer

Als Piping Engineer ga jij aan de slag met het ontwerpen van verschillende industriële installaties bij diverse klanten van Equans welke actief zijn in de (lichte) industrie en de petrochemie. Je werkt hoofdzakelijk vanuit Oisterwijk, maar projecten bevinden zich door heel Noord-Brabant. Als Piping Engineer ontwerp je procesinstallaties of constructies, maak je de onderliggende berekeningen en verzorg je ontwerpen die klaar zijn voor de uitvoering.

In de functie van Piping Engineer bij Equans ben je verantwoordelijk voor het volledige ontwerp van procesinstallaties gericht op onze eigen uitvoering (“construction driven engineering”). Je bent in deze functie verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Werken aan een grote verscheidenheid in opdrachten binnen zowel de lichte als zware industrie. Je krijgt bijvoorbeeld de opdracht voor het uitwerken van een complete werktuigbouwkundige procesinstallatie of een gedeelte hiervan. Het ontwerp kan plaatsvinden in de verschillende projectfases “concept, basic en detail engineering”. Aan jou dus de uitdaging om de wensen van de klant te vertalen naar concrete ontwerpen.
  • Jij zorgt ervoor dat er een definitief ontwerp gemaakt wordt dat voldoet aan de wensen en eisen van de klant. Daarbij heb je een scherp oog voor veiligheid, duurzaamheid, uitvoerbaarheid en goed onderhoud kunnen plegen aan de installatie. Jouw project kenmerkt zich door een goede focus op projectbeheersing (kosten, kwaliteit en tijd).
  • Je realiseert de projecten samen met onder andere constructeurs en collega engineers. Een sterk team waarbij jij, als specialist, je collega's motiveert. Ook overleg je geregeld met de opdrachtgever en de projectleider van het project.

 

Jouw werkomgeving

Je komt als Piping Engineer terecht in een enthousiaste club engineers welke bezig zijn met diverse uitdagende projecten die verschillend in grootte zijn maar altijd veel diepgang op het gebied van techniek bevatten. Het team kent een gezonde mix van ervaren en jonge engineers en wordt gekenmerkt door een open, eerlijke en familiaire sfeer. Ze willen samen de klanten ontzorgen en er is een hoge mate van teamgevoel. Binnen de afdeling is veel kennis aanwezig en de teamleden staan allemaal open voor het delen van deze kennis.

Daarnaast bepaal jij in overleg met je leidinggevende jouw leerdoelen en krijg je persoonlijke begeleiding om deze doelen te halen. Binnen Equans vinden we het ook belangrijk dat jij als techneut jouw vakkennis op peil houdt en kun je door middel van cursussen en opleidingen jouw kennis vergroten en jezelf door ontwikkelen als engineer of richting een andere functie.

 

Dit breng je mee

  • Je hebt HBO werk- en denkniveau en hebt een MBO-4 of HBO opleiding in de richting Werktuigbouwkunde afgerond.
  • Je hebt ervaring als Engineer binnen het vakgebied Piping en hebt kennis van verschillende materialen (pipespecs).
  • Je kunt zelfstandig piping routings en layouts maken en bent bekend met het maken van isometrische leidingtekeningen.
  • Je werkt graag in teamverband om samen met je collega’s goede resultaten neer te zetten en beschikt over een sterk verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel.
  • Je bent besluitvaardig en weet verschillende mensen te overtuigen van de gemaakte keuzes door jouw goede adviesvaardigheden.

  • Ervaring met werken binnen een (licht) industriële omgeving en kennis van 3D pakketten (Plant 3D Autodesk) is een pré.

Als Werkvoorbereider ben je van begin tot het eind betrokken bij de verschillende modificatie-projecten waarbij je niet alleen de zorg hebt voor de juiste materialen op het juiste moment, maar begint het al bij de calculatie, opzet van technische werktekeningen, planning, betrokkenheid bij uitvoering tot aan de oplevering. Je werkt onder leiding van een Projectleider of ervaren Senior Werkvoorbereider die je alle facetten van het vak kan bijbrengen.
 
Je verzorgt nauwkeurig de complete werkvoorbereiding en fungeert als vraagbaak voor klanten, leveranciers én collega's. Tevens onderhoud je contacten met engineering, tekenaars en de uitvoering. Aangezien onze projecten vaak multidisciplinair van aard zijn werk je intensief samen met collega's van andere disciplines, om de modificatie projecten zo goed mogelijk gezamenlijk te realiseren.

• Beschik je minimaal over een afgeronde MBO+ opleiding richting Werktuigbouwkunde, Installatietechniek of soortgelijk;
• Je hebt ervaring als Werkvoorbereider of Planner met technische projecten;

Technical Engineer

For the section DES (Design, Engineering & Solutions), we are looking for a Technical Engineer, who will carry out technical studies for our industrial mechanical construction projects. Your possible workplaces are Villers-le-Bouillet, Dessel or Grimbergen.

In this job you are responsible for the study of the work and you perform the technical follow-up of the project. You define the processes and methods necessary for the realization of a work in close collaboration with the members of the team.

Your tasks?

  • study technical files for project feasibility
  • carry out the structural estimates to dimension the work to be built
  • define the processes and the methods of construction for the realization of the works
  • provide the results of the calculations to the drafting teams in order to produce the plans
  • plan the execution of the work
  • monitor and follow-up all technical aspects related to a specific project during its engineering and execution phases. This in order to enable the whole project to be performed in the most effective way in terms of customer, technical, HSEQ and financial targets requirements
  • work in close contact with other project engineers, drafting team,…
  • follow up on your subcontractors, analyze their offers on a technical level and technical progress
  • report directly to the Project Manager and make recommendations in order to improve the overall functioning of the organization

Your background?

  • an engineering degree in mechanics or electromechanics
  • relevant first experience (nuclear environment is a plus)
  • good knowledge of mechanical concepts (and applications within the nuclear sector are a plus)
  • good knowledge of building standards
  • know how to make technical calculations
  • know how to design and draw by computer (CAD)
  • general knowledge in some of the fields concerned: nuclear, radioprotection, chemistry, electricity, electromechanics, automation, hydraulics,…
  • good affinity with IT and Office tools
  • you are able to work well in an environment where several projects are taking place at the same time

The Department Specialized Nuclear Services is part of the Division ‘Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions’ and as such operates within the Industry segment of Equans. The Department comprises three sections: Proximity, Nuclear Contracting and Design, Engineering & (Fuel) Solutions.

Together they generate a turnover of €30M with a staff of 400 people. Mobile Mechanical Engineer

Equans is looking for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join our team on our Rochdale & Oldham Schools contract on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £30,000 - £31,000 per annum, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake mechanical plant maintenance reactive repair works on a range of commercial and domestic systems across the accommodation portfolio
  • Ensure all issued works are completed within set time frames to ensure SLA’s are achieved and client expectations are met
  • Undertake mechanical plant Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
  • Proactively identify and undertake mechanical maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client)
  • Undertake mechanical improvement & Lifecycle works as required
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding

Mobile Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer

Equans is looking for a Mobile Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in East Anglia on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake all mechanical works (maintenance & reactive) on site ensuring this is carried out in a safe and compliant manner
  • Ensure all PPMs are completed in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
  • Drive out additional Mechanical remedial works following completion of planned preventative maintenance, or client requests for extra works
  • Compile accurate quotations for all remedial works and issue to the helpdesk
  • Undertake regular audits of vehicle/ tools to ensure they are in safe working order, including ensuring test equipment is in date

Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

EQUANS are recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to be based at St James Hospital, Leeds. This a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.
