Sustainability Compliance Officer
Equans is looking for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to join our team in Coleshill, Birmingham on a permanent basis to support the Regional Sustainability Team in adhering to scheme delivery requirements in line with funding and accreditation requirements and maintaining the necessary associated accreditations.
This role will be responsible for collating, validating and preparing PAS 2030:2019 compliance paperwork to Clients, Energy Suppliers and Accreditation Bodies on a weekly basis, operating within contractual deadlines to ensure compliance This is a full time role. What will you deliver?
- Producing of all necessary paperwork associated with installation of Energy Efficiency measure in line with PAS 2030:2019 process
- Working closely with scheme Retrofit Coordinators ensuring PAS installation paperwork is provided in line with the main contract programmes
- Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the sector and pass this knowledge onto the wider regional team
- Provide compliance advice to regional delivery teams regarding energy efficiency measures
- To ensure that there are zero compliance failures resulting from poor and inaccurate submission information
- To ensure all Strategic Partner contractual deadlines are adhered to
- Engage with key supply chain partners to support the effective development and delivery of projects

Who are we looking for?
- Educated to A-level (or equivalent) in a related subject
- Knowledge of the energy sector
- Understanding of low carbon and energy efficiency technologies
- Prior experience delivering work under Government led incentive scheme
- Understand the Sustainability Sector, and the compliance requirements associated
- Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites

Permit To Work Coordinator

Are you up for it?
- advising:
- you advise the project management from specific expertise, both solicited and unsolicited, to adjust and support the process
- you review work method statements
- you make recommendations to project management, employees regarding production and working methods, the use of tools, appliances, and other tools, the design of workplaces, and substances that may pose a safety risk
- research:
- you systematically examine the workplace and actively detect possible improvements
- systems:
- you manage the permit system on the project and advise project manager on the implementation
- you draw up work permits
- you assist project manager in coordinating the project sim ops
- you keep permit plans up-to-date
- control:
- you support the hierarchical supervision of compliance with the permit system and optimize working conditions. To achieve this, you are present at the work location for 40% of the working time
- reporting:
- you report to Site manager
- you report results of site inspections
- assists the project management with internal permit audits
- permit reportables
- information:
- you provide information about the permit system to the necessary parties
- you ensure project staff is trained on the use of the permit to work system
- leadership:
- you lead a small team of Permit Officers and coordinate the different tasks
- support and evaluate the performance of individual team members in the execution of their work

- your bachelor’s degree; of equivalent based on experience
- your VOL/VCA certificates
- a prior experience of working in a technical project based context (as opposed to a process industrial context)
- your advised experience in the field of HSE (PA II)
- your ability to work in an international environment
- your mastery of the Microsoft Office tools
- your excellent communication skills: you are fluent in Dutch and English. A working knowledge of French and/or German is a nice to have
