Multiskilled Engineer

Equans is looking for a Multiskilled Engineer to join our team in Slough on a permanent basis for our HMCTS contracts. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company van and benefits package.

General Overview:
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical Buildings Services Engineering plant, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and EQUANS processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
-Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM.
-Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
-Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
-Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
-Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
-Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
-To develop a good working relationship with all members of EQUANS staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
-Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
-Ensure the professional image of EQUANS is presented to clients at all times
-Ensure up to date plant logs are kept at all times
-Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of EQUANS are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
-Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
-To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
-To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
-Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
-Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
-Ensure CAFM system, e.g. PlanOn, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
-To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with EQUANS’ Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system).
-To carry out any other task as directed by the account management team.
-The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.

Client / Customer
• Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
• Coordinate quotations with the contract manager
• Production of information for quotations

Helpdesk - PPM
• Support the Helpdesk as required when reporting or updating planned and reactive maintenance
• Be available for out of hours call-out support for the contract

Compliance
• To gain Technical Appointments as required e.g. LVCP/LVAP/Mechanical/Pressure CP.
• Produce Condition / Dilapidation Reports as required
• Ensure supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur

SHEQ
• Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager
• Ensure you work to company health and safety policy
• Ensue PPE is safe to use
• Report accident and near misses in a timely manner
• Ensure your test equipment is within calibration
• Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works

Impact:
Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Multiskilled Engineer who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor’s, producing high quality reports on their findings and work. The role will involve being the face of EQUANS so smart appearance and being able to discuss findings with others including customers is required.

Complexity:
The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and diagnose and rectify both Electrical and Mechanical faults and issues unaided.

DBUE Maintainer

What will you deliver?

Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24hr maintenance Service within the Portsmouth Hospital Trust for the service provider.
Undertake any training as required

Shift Mechanical Engineer

Equans is looking for a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Southbank Centre in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern of four on, four off, days and nights between the hours of 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am.

On offer is a salary of £34,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Required to safely operate and maintain the HVAC, HV, L8, Mechanical and Electrical systems and associated equipment on site in line with current legislation
Maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives and work in a manner which ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between EQUANS and the customer are delivered with the requisite levels of professionalism
Responsible for first line review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, including EQUANS Contractors
Responsible for obtaining permits to work
Adhere to Safe systems of work, this includes harness, lanyards, steps and tool checks
Ensure team meetings are being held daily to ensure PPM completion

Maintenance Engineer

Equans is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Uxbridge on our contract with Coca-Cola on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. This is based on a rotational shift pattern, working between the hours of 6am - 2pm one week and then 12pm - 8pm the next week.

What will you deliver?

Providing hands on, all-round support to the Site Maintenance Team and where directed by the Site Supervisor the provision of support to wider Estates/EQUANS Team
Work with the Site Supervisor & FM Manager to deliver high working standards and maintenance practice in the delivery of both Reactive and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) services in accordance with the terms of the CCEP contract
Ensure that works are conducted in line with the site Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place
Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and inline company competency appointment(s)
Duties may include but are not limited to: Water hygiene checks – L8 checks, general plumbing, emergency lighting checks, daily, weekly and monthly PPM checks eg, HVAC, AHU’s, FC. Basic electrics depending upon qualifications, building installation and repairs e.g. carpet-fitting, repair to walls, gutter clearance & drainage

Who are we looking for?

Demonstrable previous experience as a handy-man
Painting/Decorating/Carpentry/Plumbing/Tiling
Basic computer knowledge - desirable
Basic knowledge of heating and air conditioning plant – desirable
Painting & Decorating qualification – desirable
Previous experience in a customer facing environment

This role includes a CTC clearance check therefore ability to pass is essential.

Commercial Gas Engineer

EQUANS are recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer. The role will be based from Bellshill but you will be required to provide cover for sites in Perth, Dundee & Inverness. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
Carry out reactive tasks throughout the sites
Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works
Update customers CAFM system in real time
Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to starting work
Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
Participate in the teams oncall rota and be available for overtime

Who are we looking for

A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
Appropriate Combustion/Gas/Oil Qualifications essential
Trade qualified Combustion Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
Must have a full clean drivers’ licence.
Legionella awareness (preferable – can provide training)
Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
Able to work as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable to change
Must be available to participate in an out of hour’s standby rota.
