Gas Engineer

Equans is looking for x3 Gas Engineers to join our team in Rotherham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary,  and benefits package.

This role will be within our repairs and maintenance team. 

You will also be required to work and be part on the on call out of hours rota.

What will you deliver?

  • To carry out property survey/resident profile visits with RLO
  • Create design drawings and material orders
  • Replace existing/install new full gas central heating systems as part of an install team to be fully working heating and hot water at the end of day one
  • To carry out general maintenance of all plumbing and building systems as necessary
  • Be part of an on call Rota to cover OOH breakdowns as required

Hard FM Senior Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hard FM Senior Operations Manager to join our team providing FM maintenance at Central Middlesex University Hospital in Park Royal, NW10. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. 

The role:

  • Will report to the Contract Manager
  • To facilitate Hard FM activities undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned/reactive maintenance and minor project work
  • To be responsible for all operational staff, budgets and performance of sub-contractors within this work stream.
  • To maintain a close liaison with the Client FM Function to ensure day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met.
  • To be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets and compliance with the service level standards whilst continually enforcing cost efficiencies and maximising value received.
  • To recruit, select, motivate and manage the Hard FM services teams and ensure ongoing development to the highest standards of professionalism and customer service
  • Working 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with participation in the management call-out rota system to assist the Company in responding to emergency situations.

The person:

  • Will hold a relevant qualification in a Hard FM related subject, ideally with membership of a professional institution and/or management qualifications (ILM, BIFM, etc.)
  • Must have experience of managing staff in Hard FM in a healthcare environment
  • Will have specialist knowledge of processes and procedures within mechanical and electrical disciplines together with excellent IT skills
  • Will be able to demonstrate sound financial acumen and be able to interpret financial accounts
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication and client relationship skills

Senior Maintenance Shift Electrician

Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent shift-based role working 38.5 hours per week on a rolling rota of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off - DAY SHIFTS ONLY from 07:00 to 19:00. 

The role:

  • Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor
  • To maintain all buildings and plant to the required levels as set out by management
  • Carry out a range of building service tasks, mainly electrical and mechanical planned and reactive works
  • To ensure prompt and accurate completion of associated paperwork, recording recommendations and/or material requirements accordingly
  • To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials to ensure the highest levels of equipment and building availability.
  • To oversee specialist sub-contractors
  • To work to the highest standard and in full compliance with statutory legislation
  • To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings, including participation in a call out work rota
  • Working 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of days only – 07:00 to 19:00


The person:

  • Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; mechanical qualification/experience is a bonus
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable
  • Must be appointed in at least 1 AP/CP role, and attend any training as necessary to maintain this
  • Desirable to have experience of building services/maintenance/facilities management 
  • Will be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a current passport.

Performance Analyst

EQUANS are recruiting for a Performance Analyst to work across the Birmingham Schools Portfolio. We are looking for someone with a strong background in contract performance reporting, data analysis and compliance. You will be responsible for contractual reporting across the contracts with a key focus on deduction analysis across contract KPI’s, SLA’s and service delivery. The key aims of this role are to ensure all reports produced are contractually accurate and produced within the required timescales with trends analysed and presented to Management.

What will you deliver?

  • Production and presentation of monthly contract deduction reports and payment mechanism reports in line with contractual requirements
  • Proactively monitor KPIs and SLA performance so that any issues are resolved to avoid failure
  • Managing all reporting data against all site KPI’s to feed into month end reporting, including capture of follow-on jobs
  • Carrying out internal ‘stress test’ audits on performance
  • Undertake trend analysis on KPI data to drive performance improvements
  • Proactively identify operational improvements to support reporting
  • Work with the operational teams to ensure that planned maintenance activities align with performance targets
  • Develop a contract performance dashboard summarising performance across both contract and business KPIs
  • Support the Operational teams with tracking all NCR’s on the contracts and working with them to close these out
  • Contribute to and review the annual performance report
  • Develop effective working relationships with operational teams, business partners, and clients to improve operational performance
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contract support functions

Project Coordinator

EQUANS is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team based at Birmingham City Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator conducts the role according to onsite processes and procedures. The position ensures that Equans can meet contractual obligations whilst simultaneously providing an excellent service to our customers.

The Project Coordinator makes up part of the Projects Team which contributes to the effective and operation of the projects Service that is conducive for the delivery of healthcare.

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Management of financial administration process associated with all projects i.e., coordinating and maintaining all Applications, WIP, Debt, Variations, final accounts, and invoicing to the client and Subcontractor
  • Liaison with clients and internal colleagues to ensure constant communication with regards to the status of works and application/final account sign off
  • Attend meetings associated with debt and WIP on Projects to ensure invoicing is streamlined appropriately
  • Ensuring all project works are invoiced upon completion or at agreed stages in agreement with client
  • Manage and fully complete the WIP process to ensure cost control is achieved and WIP is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure all Operational costs are processed appropriately and invoiced
  • Assist other colleagues in the management of ongoing operational costs on completion of a project
  • Raise appropriate orders, receipt, and manage contractor invoicing & down steam applications
  • Liaison with Project Managers & Site Managers to ensure completion paperwork is complete on all Project claims
  • Ensure all contractual notices on all projects are obtained and completed in a timely manner to ensure all cost are captured on each project
  • Liaison with other site personnel and client representatives including Trust wards and departments, other service providers, suppliers, contractors etc as appropriate
  • Efficiently and accurately use the computerised systems & company software daily, producing information and reports as and when required
  • Attend and participate in Training courses as required and to undertake any training in the future as may be required to ensure the duties of the post are effectively conducted
  • Function as first point of contact for internal and external parties providing financial information on all project works
  • Ensure all documentation forms part of the onsite central filing system
  • Take any project meeting minutes where applicable
  • Any other duties deem necessary by the Senior Project Manager.

Complaints Manager

Equans is looking for a Complaints Manager to join our team in Birmingham. Your time will be split between Kings Road and College Road.

The Complaints Manager is on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To support the Customer Services Manager with client complaints and satisfactory closing out complaints to a high standard
  • Managing relationships with clients and supervisors to identify issues and putting in effective plans in place to resolve
  • Managing councillor enquiries, ombudsman enquiries, press enquiries and compensation claims
  • Ensuring accurate notes are recorded on Maintain
  • Liaising with external providers, e.g. Subcontractors/suppliers
  • Assisting and co-operating with the client and customer service team in the investigation of complaints, effectively dealing and responding to queries and complaints from tenants, staff and residents relating to services and service delivery
  • Providing performance reports for Customer Service Manager and Clients monthly

Account Director

EQUANS is looking for an Account Director to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

As part of the leadership team for Sustainable FM South and reporting into the Managing Director, you will ensure customer expectations are met, with great client relationships and a high standard of service that meets the commercial requirements.  You will lead a highly motivated, engaged and skilled workforce to deliver all aspects of Hard and Soft FM at site, whilst achieving P&L requirements.

The post holder will be instrumental to the successful delivery of operations of a large acute site, three mental health facilities and numerous retained buildings.  All of which are delivered under a complex PFI contract within a healthcare environment. This is a customer facing role, ideally suited to an operator who will lead by example and spend a significant amount of their time actively patrolling and engaging with the team and customers. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service delivery of an NHS healthcare facility including the financial, commercial, people, safety, and quality performance elements of the contract, providing a safe and healthy environment and working conditions for all direct report employees, circa 220 employees.

 

What will you deliver?

  • Managing costs and maximising profitability in line with the budget and the requirements of the contract

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience operating at an Account Director level, delivering sustainable FM management and/or outsourced Solutions
  • Considerable experience within a Healthcare or similar contracting environment including experience liaising with investors as well as end service customers
  • Excellent commercial acumen, understanding & working with PFI contracts preferable & able to lead a team to deliver KPIs in line with the contract deliverables

Our Installation Operatives are crucial to supporting our wider energy business to deliver a wide variety of ambitious solar and other energy renewable projects across the UK. This role will involve working anywhere in the country but we do provide accommodation and other expenses while working away from home.

Document Control Manager

EQUANS are recruiting for a Document Control Manager to be based in Manchester. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

  • Support the teams to effectively manage all information flow, to maintain and control the influx and issue of drawings, specification, surveys, reports, documents, and trackers, to ensure all departments and team members have the latest and correct information that has been through the workflow process.
  • To assist in the running of Equans CDE (Viewpoint) and supporting information management systems.
  • Must be proficient in using Viewpoint & Fieldview.
  • To consult with other Document Controllers and project teams across the business to allow for effective feedback and reporting to feed back to the Business Information Manager.
  • To sit as member of the Viewpoint Community forum within Equans.
  • Offer training and support to users.
  • To support change management.
  • Outline procedures to system users
  • Manage/Support Northwest Document Controllers
  • Assist in mainstreaming systems and procedures across the business. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development of the utilization of Viewpoint across all projects.
  • Monitor and report on the systems to ensure it is being used effectively.
  • When required: Issue protocol documents/coordinate set up of new projects/invites to Viewpoint.
  • When required: To QA check:
    • That all drawings/documents received/uploaded on the system have been correctly named in accordance with the projects naming convention.
    • That items have been uploaded to relevant workflow.
    • The revision sequence is correct.
    • Vote at the QA stage of the workflow
  • When applicable: monitor workflows ensuring time scales and user efficiency.
  • To oversee multiple projects on the system simultaneously.
