Job Summary :
The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the overall operation of a public-private partnership (P3) Facility in areas of safety & security, comfort, productivity and efficiency to the standards of the contract and to the customer’s satisfaction including, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities :
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction;
- At least 10 years facility management experience to manage multiple KPIs with very good results;
- Manages capital projects and operating budgets and variance reports;
- Provides some financial/business analysis including preparation of reports;
- Serves as the on-site manager representing EQUANS;
- Supervises, trains and mentors employees to ensure compliance with all provisions of the contract;
- Has full P/L responsibilities for the site;
- Monitors a Quality Assurance Program;
- Participates in annual planning and input to a business plan in accordance with EQUANS and contractual objectives;
- Actively participates in the prevention of accidents and promote a safe working environment;
- Establishes a program to acquire, store and account for all materials, tools, and equipment;
- Co-ordinates with the Purchasing Manager for maintenance materials and equipment;
- Delegates requests as appropriate; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 10 years experience of progressive facilities maintenance from the trades or through education, (any relevant degree, diploma or experience will be evaluated);
- Technical management and planning background;
- Excellent Software knowledge: Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving experience in a medium to large organization;
- Available for on-call problems;
- Ability to understand and interpret complex documents, blueprints, As-Builts and schematics;
- Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English;
- Must be Secret Security cleared or able to get this clearance level quickly;
- Safety & Quality oriented; and
- Maintain a good level of technical expertise.
Assets :
- Possess understanding of P3 contracts including P3 contract methodology, reporting and delivery of services;
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance programs (CMMS) a significant advantage;
- Facility Management Administrator (FMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Real Property Administrator (RPA) or subsequent level of experience; and
- Good knowledge on electrical and mechanical systems, security systems and other facility services.
