Undertake day to day duties, associated with an Industrial environment. This may include cleaning offices, mess rooms, ablution blocks and emptying bins, in accordance with Company standards.

Cleaner

Equans is looking for a Cleaner to join our team in Liverpool Central Library, L3 8EW on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm with 1 hour lunch

What will you deliver?

Catering Supervisor

EQUANS are recruiting for Catering Supervisor to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a permanent Full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary.

Shift pattern: 5 days a week on a 2 week rota basis.

What will you deliver?

 

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the Catering Supervisor will be responsible for the provision of a safe and timely catering food services that delivers to high standards and that meets with current legislation, and the supervision of both patient catering and retail catering teams at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

IMPACT

  • To provide a safe, hygienic, nutritious, and timely food service for patients.
  • Assisting in the delivery of a high standard of food service which meets the requirements of food hygiene legislation
  • Ward host/hostess would be expected to do basic food prep if required to go down to the main kitchen (pick/pack area)
  • Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness in all work areas
  • Ward hosts would be expected to do basic food prep when in pick and pack along with minimal cleaning duties
  • Ensure that a high standard of personal grooming is maintained including wearing the required uniform and PPE provided.

Cleaning Supervisor

Equans is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Havant Justice Centre, PO9 2AL on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £5678.4 and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri 16:00-18:00

What will you deliver?

  • Act as ‘hands on’ lead and front line supervisor for the cleaning team to deliver a quality service.
  • Manage Circa 20 direct reports.
  • Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services. Provide cover and undertake remedial cleaning tasks as necessary.
  • Complete and submit timesheets for the cleaning team, manage/approve cleaning team holidays
  • Cover 15-20 buildings
  • Monitor the quality of work and complete quality control sheets as necessary.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and power cleaning equipment are operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
  •  
  • Ensure personal tasks and the duties of the cleaning team are carried out in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, Company and recommended guidelines.
  • Undertake training as necessary to maintain the requirements of the service.

What will you deliver?

  • Act as ‘hands on’ lead and front line supervisor for the cleaning team to deliver a quality service.
  • Manage Circa 20 direct reports.
  • Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services. Provide cover and undertake remedial cleaning tasks as necessary.
  • Complete and submit timesheets for the cleaning team, manage/approve cleaning team holidays
  • Cover 15-20 buildings
  • Monitor the quality of work and complete quality control sheets as necessary.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and power cleaning equipment are operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.

  • Ensure personal tasks and the duties of the cleaning team are carried out in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, Company and recommended guidelines.
  • Undertake training as necessary to maintain the requirements of the service.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of industry/public cleaning services (essential)
  • Previous experience of supervising a cleaning team in multiple locations (essential)
  • COSHH Knowledge (desirable)
  • Able to instruct others on the use of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Have an understanding of basic health and safety principles=
  • Able to motivate a cleaning team to attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning
  • Able to organise cleaning staff to meet work schedules
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • Be sufficiently fit to be able to undertake the specified tasks
  • Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others

School Crossing Patrol Officer

EQUANS are recruiting for a School Crossing Patrol Officer to be based in Grimsby. This is a permanent, part-time role working 5 hours per week (During term time only). On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

General Overview

To ensure the safety of children crossing the road at a designated location point between specified times.

What will you deliver?

  • Responsible for ensuring the safety of pedestrians whilst on the crossing point in a variety of traffic flows
  • Postholder must be physically fit as they are required to stand and walk for the length of their duty in all weather conditions, all year round
  • Carry out EQUANS and NEL Council’s policy with regard to the School Crossing Patrol Service, this includes Health and Safety Procedures
  • Understand the value and usefulness of performance information and appreciate the need to monitor our progress
  • Have a clear focus on the key priorities for the company and the impact an individual’s work can make on whichever priority(ies) are covered by their service area.
