About the role:

Located in Brisbane, the successful applicant will work closely with the Global 2nd Line NOC, and together you will provide support to first line technicians by providing technical troubleshooting and resolution of issues they have escalated, as well as ad-hoc remote commissioning of various client solutions.

Much of this available role will be technical System Support Administrator tasks working closely with the Global 2nd Line NOC, however there is the additional requirement for Service Delivery Management tasks to be undertaken, acting as the first point of contact for service requirements for the customer, maintaining a positive relationship, understanding the client needs, and ensuring all SLA commitments are fulfilled.

 

About you:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a strong understanding of basic Linux concepts, including working with command line, checking logs and other general Linux sysadmin concepts.
  • Possess an understanding of networking concepts and have experience working with IP based networks.
  • Be customer and administratively focussed and have history of successful Service Delivery Management.
  • Have successfully worked in cross-functional/regional groups and possess senior level stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Hold 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Have the willingness and ability to travel to Gothenburg Sweden or London UK for a designated period of training.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain previously agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Manage customer communications during major incident management.
  • Work to existing processes and procedures developed globally for the role.
  • Provide regular progress/performance reports required both internal use and for client requirements.
  • Continually update and maintain a knowledge base document.

Key requirements:

  • Tertiary Information Technology qualifications or Vendor specific certifications, eg CCNA/JNCIA/RHCE/MCSA
  • ITIL Foundation – desired
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence - desired
  • Experience with OH&S compliance - JHA/SWMS preparation, Risk Assessments

Equans ANZ Information Technology team based in our Silverwater office are looking for an experienced Server Engineer with strong problem solving skills, solid experience using Microsoft and Linux servers, and to successfully and solely manage the servers in Australia.

What you'll be doing:

The Server Engineer role maintains, monitors and enhances Equans ANZ’s physical and virtual server infrastructure assets in line with organisational policies and overall IT Strategy. As a key member of the technical infrastructure team, the server engineer applies technical expertise to ensure critical business processes remain available for our business stakeholders.

The remit of this role covers Equans Server infrastructure located in our Data Centre as well as at various branches around Australia and New Zealand.

The Server Engineer sits within the Equans ANZ Infrastructure team and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to bring a brand new focus and agility to the Infrastructure team.

The requirements of the role:

  • Provide technical expertise around all aspects of Server and OS management (build, maintain, decommission) and backup management.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance and enhancement of EQUANS IT’s physical and virtual server Infrastructure, including pro-active and reactive resolution of incidents to minimise business disruption.
  • Ensures regular backups of business-critical servers/databases are taken and maintained.
  • Ensures server assets are regularly patched and upgraded with vendor updates as and when required according to group and local policies.
  • Implements and maintains EQUANS ANZ’s cyber security controls according to Group and local policy in order to protect EQUANS server assets from cyber threats and damage.
  • Engages with our various Infrastructure / OS support vendors to ensure platforms and systems remain available and continue to support our critical business processes.
  • Handle escalations from the Service Desk team as and when required.
  • Assists with projects of varying sizes and complexity from time to time, providing technical direction in areas of expertise in line with organisational policies.

What you need:

  • ITIL v3 Foundation or greater
  • MCSE, MCSA or equivalent
  • VCP or VCAP certification
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a mid-sized Microsoft Windows OS (2012-2019), VMWare vSphere / ESXi server environment hosted in a Data Centre.
  • Experience in administering Linux operating systems.
  • Thorough understanding and technical proficiency in Active Directory, LAN/WAN/VLAN, TCP/IP and UDP.
  • Thorough understanding of cyber security principals and experience with implementing and maintaining enterprise level controls / endpoint detection platforms from vendors such as MDE etc.
  • Experience with managing server backups via Rubrik would be advantageous.

IT Business Partner

EQUANS is looking for an IT Business Partner to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £55,000 to £70,000, dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

 

This role is responsible for the IT account management and the IT Demand of the Business divisions, focused on developing customer relationships, driving change in technology services ensuring alignment to both business and IT strategies.

The Business Partner is key to gaining customer satisfaction and pivotal in initiating changes in IT service to meet the needs of the business. In this role you will be the voice of IT to the business and the voice of the business to IT. The individual will establish strong business partnerships between the business and the IT team including subject matter experts.

The initial focus of this role will be centred on the Birmingham Repairs & Maintenance contract and helping to develop the strategic technology roadmap for the delivery of technological improvements in conjunction with the broader divisions aims and in alignment to the Equans global IT strategy.

 

What will you deliver?

 Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external clients and senior business stakeholders.
  • Promote IT’s capabilities, challenges and strategies to the business.
  • Initiate business sponsored IT change projects to deliver what the business needs from IT and support the PMO by unblocking obstacles and driving projects.
  • Act as the senior point of escalation for major IT issues for business customers.

Business Engagement

  • Promote the reduction in complexity and maintain a strategy perspective from an IT and business point of view.
  • Consult with the business to understand the business plans, operational objectives and market forces driving business change.
  • Translate existing core enterprise technology capabilities and solutions available from IT to the business services to reduce distinct solutions for individual contracts.
  • Identify IT projects with the business, work with the Enterprise Architects to develop a strategic technology roadmap, gain business sponsorship and initiate IT projects via the governance process.

Demand and Prioritisation

  • Understand the priorities for the business area and ensure that these are understood by the wider IT team.
  • Work with the IT Service Delivery Manager to identify any gaps in the IT support model for the business area and ensure these are monitored and closed through effective Service Improvement Plans.
  • Work with the PMO to prioritise projects and IT workloads.
  • Communicate the IT work schedule and manage expectations in the business, communicate progress updates, assist with resolving hurdles and gain business decisions.
  • Be accountable for the Shaping phase of the governance process (Brief and business case, etc.)

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in an administration or IT discipline, or equivalent through experience.

Service Manager Messaging & Collaboration

Equans in Brussels is looking for a Service Manager Messaging & Collaboration.

As part of Equans’ journey to become an autonomous organization, we are building a new IT Operating model, in which we will be working as a global organization to deliver some of our core IT components. As a Group we have defined a number of Shared Line of Service which will deliver services globally across all business units (24/7).

As a Service Manager Messaging & Collaboration you participate in the construction of the Global Shared Line of Service Digital Workplace. The Digital Workplace SLS will be delivering services on workstations (~ 55K workstations at term), Office 365 (up to potentially 100K employees), Identity and Access Management components (Okta) and other global security services (Intune, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike,…). Your focus will be on the O365 service line.

You become part of a new team of global IT players. A team you co-construct together with colleagues/squad members across the globe. You participate in the selection of a new outsourcing partner and transition services from the existing Equans IT teams. In the initial phase, the start-up will be handled in a program approach to transition afterwards in a “standing” service line.

Details of the job:

  • as Service Manager you are responsible for the overall budget and for defining a cost/financing model with the Group IT Performance team to be able to cross charge and deliver value for money services
  • you lead a team of O365 experts and you select and manage service providers to deliver global service

We are looking for an IT Program Director (Brussels).

As IT Program director you will be at the heart of the IT program & portfolio management within the Global Shared Line of Service Digital Workplace. The Digital Workplace SLS will be delivering services on workstations (~ 55K workstations at term), Office 365 (up to potentially 100K employees), identity and access management components (Service-Now) and other global security services (Intune, Proofpoint, CyberArk,…).

Together with your team of PM’s & PL’s you have the freedom to set up the department as you see fit to achieve the requested results. This means you are responsible for researching, planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating an organization’s program within SLS DWP.

In addition you are responsible for achieving organizational goals by identifying processes, setting and managing deadlines, supervising and leading program and project managers, overseeing progress and performance, monitoring budgets, and allocating resources.

You directly report to the SLS Director.

More concretely:

  • you ensure the coordination and delivery of multiple international programs within Equans IT requiring cross business and SLS unit coordination
  • you manage dependencies and interfaces between IT programs/projects and escalate recommendations to executive levels when appropriate
  • the budget allocated to the IT programs is in your hands. You organize, in due time, an analysis to verify the expected achievements and results
  • you are responsible for the quality assurance, overall integrity of the IT programs by making sure that the framework is implemented and you organize regular lessons learned
  • you handle customers‘ expectations by identifying and understanding their interest(s)/influence(s). You put in place a pro-active communication/action plan which is regularly updated along the IT program lifecycle
  • you participate and execute a steering committee in order to share the progress of the ongoing programs, critical risks and obtain decisions from the responsible stakeholders
  • you are responsible for the portfolio management within the SLS in tight alignment with global PMO

What do you need to succeed in this job with the support of SLS management & your team?

  • you have a master’s degree or equivalent through experience, and more than 5 years of relevant experience as IT program manager/director
  • you possess proven portfolio management skills
  • you are skilled in people and stakeholder management
  • you are a true leader and an excellent communicator by nature
  • you have good negotiation skills and are able to expose/challenge to a c-level management in a diplomatic way
  • you are pro-active, have a problem solving mindset and are driven for result
  • you are able to work in a fast-paced and very demanding environment
  • you have a hands-on attitude and are open to tasks outside of the classic task description
  • you are methodic and proficient in planning
  • fluent in English (mandatory) and Dutch or French

Salesforce Analyst (Business/Functional)

We are looking for a Salesforce Analyst (Business/Functional) to strengthen the Equans Belux Salesforce Expertise team in Brussels.

Details of the job:

  • you analyze the needs of the different business users throughout different projects
  • you work in an agile methodology
  • you fill the gap between the business and the developers
  • you collaborate with teams in other technologies
  • you collaborate with a team of Salesforce architects, analysts, administrators and developers to help them determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs
  • you follow and understand new Salesforce products and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
  • you work together with the other developers and validate their solutions before and during development, while also performing QA when required to ensure that they meet the needs of clients

Are we a match?

  • you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or equal by experience
  • minimum experience of 3 years in Salesforce technology (medior to senior profile)
  • you have worked for at least 2 years in an agile environment
  • you have experience with translating business requirements to functional requirements in the form of user story
  • software: MS Office, Azure devops, MS Visio
  • knowledge of Salesforce System Administrator, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Field Service Lighting, Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Community/Experience Cloud is a plus
  • you have an understanding of agile approaches and underlying principles
  • you can set up test cases and guide the business during testing
  • you are pro-active and have a problem solving mindset
  • you are customer-oriented and have a learning mentality
  • you can work independently
  • you value the team’s success more than you value your personal achievements
  • you communicate in a concise but kind way and have good social skills
  • you are open for very regular mobility across all sites of Equans in Belgium
