Customer Liaison Officer

Equans is looking for a Customer Liaison Officer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes,ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
  • To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
  • Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.
  • Carry out individual resident inductions to include - introduction to Equans, the CLO/RLO
    process, scope of works, property and personal belongings condition surveys inclusive of photographs for evidence
  • Complete resident profiling and work with the site management team to implement effective working practices and discuss with the Client’s customer care team where appropriate
  • Agree access arrangements with the resident and book appointments to enable the work to their home
  • Organise and provide support needs: packing boxes, dust sheets, storage and other facilities
    as required and agreed.

About the Role

Equans have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join the Legal and Commercial team.

Reporting to the General Counsel this role is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the EQUANS ANZ business in a supportive team. The role is varied and will see you working across operations, legal, commercial, and governance in partnership with the business.

This role can be facilitated from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with a hybrid working arrangement.

What you will do:

  • Provide legal advice to the Executive Leadership Team, General Managers and staff as required, including but not limited to:
    • Contracts – drafting, reviewing, and advising on small- and large-scale commercial contracts, including advising    on risk, termination, and litigation.
    • Corporate law –advising on business structures, corporate entities, company constitutions and management arrangements including advising on entity structures, directors duties and reporting obligations.
    • Industrial relations and employment law – advising on employment contracts, rights, duties, and obligations.
    • Assist in litigation matters including briefing external lawyers where required and managing the litigation process.
    • Represent EQUANS in commercial negotiations as needed.
    • Legal training – develop and maintain a training package and deliver training across the organisation, including to General Managers and less senior staff with practical application for various business units.
    • Assist with identification, review of and implementation of business improvement strategies including application of artificial intelligence and automation.
  • Draft, review and amend internal policy ensuring legal compliance, relevant application to the organisation and consistency.
  • Help in developing and maintain a library of legal and commercial precedents.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in law with experience in Corporate/ Commercial law.
  • Between 4-8 years’ legal experience in house or a law firm.
  • knowledge of commercial law and regulations.
  • Experience preferably in any of the following areas.
    • commercial law,
    • construction law.
    • services industry
  • Proven ability to formulate commercial and practical legal solutions.
  • Personable and a good communicator with the ability to break down complex legal matters for a non-legal audience.

Service juridique

  • Préparer des résolutions corporatives;
  • Centraliser et assurer la gestion des registres corporatifs et autres documents légaux;
  • Assurer le suivi de l’agenda légal, l’ouverture et le suivi des dossiers;
  • Assurer les demandes de cautionnement et de certificat d’assurance lors de processus d’appel d’offres;
  • Assurer le maintien et la mise à jour de registres réglementaires tels que la RBQ et l’AMP ainsi que la modification des accréditations et licences.
  • Effectuer de la recherche de divers renseignements de nature juridique ou commerciale;

As part of  maternity leave replacement , we are looking for a senior lawyer specializing in business law,  mainly in mergers & acquisitions with a good knowledge of financing documentation and internal financial related agreements (guarantees, shareholder loans, cash pooling etc), perfectly fluent in English and possibly a French qualified lawyer too.

So, your main tasks will be:

  • Mergers and acquisitions: manage the legal aspects of these projects/transactions in support of the legal team;  
  • Analyze and assess legal risks; review transactional documents and produce mark-ups following internal or external meetings;
  • Assist Equans countries in the management of legal projects, in particular the drafting of legal notes, the review of the SPA and other transactional documents, as well as the review of project documents;

Enforcement Officer (Building Control)

Equans is looking for a Enforcement Officer (Building Control) to join our team in Grimsby on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £21,000 to £26,500 (depending on experience),  and benefits package.

Equans is North East Lincolnshire Council’s long-term regeneration delivery partner delivering a number of services on their behalf, providing planning, highways, property, design and technical services.

This role will be responsible for a full and varied caseload of enforcement investigations and general enquiries, including the drafting and service of notices and appearing as a witness in court as required.

The post holder will need to be articulate, enthusiastic, committed and highly organised ideally with a proven track record in enforcement activity and working within a busy team. Flexibility and the ability to respond to the changing demands of the business as well as the ability to multi-task are vital. In return we can offer a great work/life balance, with hybrid working arrangements

 

What will you deliver?

  • Investigation of possible breaches of the building regulations and associated legislation
  • Monitoring of developments to ensure that the procedural requirements of the building regulations are complied with.
  • Maintenance and updating of files using computerised/ manual administration systems
  • Working with the Principal Building Control surveyor to issue enforcement advice to customers including alleged offenders, complainants, Councillors, developers and other interested parties both verbally and in writing
  • To review and present recommendations to the Building Control Manager and Building control team regarding proceeding with enforcement investigations
  • Preparation of reports for formal enforcement
  • Collation of evidence from specialist officers with a view to possible prosecutions
  • Preparation of prosecution papers in respect of breaches of planning control and appear as a witness for the Council in respect of court proceedings to work with if required
  • Ability to work on own initiative when on site making the necessary health and safety assessments as required
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be expected at this level.

Health and Safety Trainer

Equans is looking for a Health and Safety Trainer to join our team in the North of England on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £35k-£41k, dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle and allowance, bonus, and benefits package.

 

This position plays a critical role within the business, effective development and delivery of bespoke mandatory training is essential to EQUANS remaining a market leading legally compliant, efficient and sustainable company. By maintaining and influencing industry standards and external accreditations the quality of our delivery can bring added value to the organisation in the form of delivering EQUANS training to our staff, supply chain, clients and the communities we operate in.

What will you deliver?

  • Developing and delivering high quality training modules in specialist area and providing expert guidance to peers
  • Ensuring that all courses are kept up to date with the latest Government Legislation and internal practices.
  • Dealing with first stage feedback and complaints
  • Ensuring all training records, registers and evaluations are fully completed and sent to the relevant training coordination teams.
  • Carrying out peer observations
  • Assisting the UKBU Senior Trainers in creating new processes and procedures
