Plumber

What will you deliver?

  • Fault finding and repair of Plumbing Assets
  • Carry out regular planned maintenance on associated Plumbing Assets
  • Provide lifecycle & defect reports relating to Mechanical elements. 
  • Provide regular updates to the helpdesk on the progress of all types of work orders. 
  • Supporting other engineering disciplines. 
  • Proactive communication with site staff to obtain access permits and progress updates Day to day management of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the works in order to meet the contractual agreement
  • Maintain records to the PPM schedule whether this be completing maintenance reports or keeping updated site logbooks.
  • Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue effective communications with the customer in order to build a stable relationship
  • Operate EQUANS QA procedures and maintain clear and legible records as required
  • Be available to attend or manage emergency call-outs and provide written incident reports as required
  • Ensure that all issues are reported to the Team Leader

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Recognised Plumbing to City & Guilds/NVQ Qualification
  • Approved and formal apprenticeship served in Plumbing or a minimum of 4 years relevant and practical experience within the industry
  • Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Previous FM experience within a PFI environment would be an advantage
  • IPAF (MEWP) qualification desirable but not essential
  • Full driving licence required
  • Ability to measure, work to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams and communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/ skill
  • Able to become part of the on call / emergency call out rota

Mobile Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer

Equans is looking for a Mobile Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in East Anglia on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake all mechanical works (maintenance & reactive) on site ensuring this is carried out in a safe and compliant manner
  • Ensure all PPMs are completed in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
  • Drive out additional Mechanical remedial works following completion of planned preventative maintenance, or client requests for extra works
  • Compile accurate quotations for all remedial works and issue to the helpdesk
  • Undertake regular audits of vehicle/ tools to ensure they are in safe working order, including ensuring test equipment is in date

Mechanical Technician

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance, fault finding, repairs, de-commissioning and re-commissioning on a wide range of power plant, systems and equipment

Mobile Supervisor

What will you deliver? 

  • Supervision of maintenance, installation and operation of engineering equipment in line with operational requirements of the sites
  • You will have sound knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment & working safely with equipment
  • Ability to measure, work to plans, drawing up RAMS, read technical drawings and communicate, present and report technical information
  • Diagnose fault-find, debug and commission systems, utilising appropriate technical skills and system knowledge
  • Monitor and assess ongoing machine/ facility performance, through PPM programme as appropriate, identifying any additional works required
  • Administer and complete relevant paperwork for all assignments

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • HNC in a relevant engineering subject, or similar recognised qualification
  • An ACOP L8 certificate would be advantageous
  • Good man management skills
  • Experience of working within Facilities Management
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers

Candidates will be required to be cleared to security clearance level due to site requirements and this role is dependent on maintaining this level of clearance

Mechanical Technician

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team at Fife Victoria Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based on a shift pattern that includes working on weekends and evenings. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Carry out the delivery of maintenance and reactive maintenance of the mechanical infrastructure for the hospital
  • Core elements will include Health and Safety, communication at all levels, assisting and advising management on statutory compliance, safe and efficient use of resources
  • Maintain and update the planned maintenance system based within Maximo
  • There is a varied selection of mechanical systems to maintain such as heating, cooling and ventilation as well as Medical Gas Piped Systems

Who are we looking for?

  • Mechanical qualification to minimum of HNC (or equivalent) level
  • A thorough working knowledge and understanding of general HVAC systems and Medical Gas Piped Systems is required to enable the job holder to not only maintain but also to competently investigate, diagnose and implement routine repairs to these systems

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
