Project Manager (Offshore Wind, Maintenance & Monitoring)

To expand our offshore wind ambitions and to strengthen our teams on existing projects, we are looking for a Project Manager Maintenance & Monitoring Offshore Services (Hoboken).

In this role you will function within the department Monitoring and Maintenance.

You manage several offshore teams working on offshore wind balance of plant assets for internal and external clients. The teams consist of in-house E/I and mechanical technicians combined with specialized sub-contractors. You are responsible for planning, preparation and execution of offshore campaigns, including HSSE compliance, work permits, work method statements, logistics and reporting with the aim to unburden clients by providing first time right excellent quality.

In addition, you assist in acquiring new business by sensing new opportunities, providing input for tenders, actively promote Equans Offshore Services and managing relations with clients.

Your activities:

• responsible for finances and technical quality within the execution of multidisciplinary offshore service tasks and projects
• manage one or more projects simultaneously, integration multiple disciplines, prepare project plans and schedules, keep track of progress and budget
• responsible for financial management, including cost control, quantity control. Reporting according to company procedures. Respond adequately towards deviations and mitigate where necessary
• providing leadership to personnel by motivation, coaching, stimulation and representing their needs
• allocating and planning job duties
• managing the offshore works in terms of schedules and manning levels required for the offshore works, including specialised subcontractors
• ensuring all offshore works are performed in accordance with local rules, regulations and procedures. This includes ensuring all personnel used offshore have the correct training and competency for the scope of work
• responsible for order of materials, resources, components, etc. in collaboration with the Purchasing department
• participate in entity transcending projects where the specific knowledge from the department is valuable for achieving success
• responsible for quality safety and environment within the provision of services. Make sure that operations are compliant to corporate and legal rules and regulations
• keep up and expand an external network of clients and suppliers, continuous representation of Equans companies
• support in preparation of tenders. Cost price calculation, preparation of supporting documentation, such as management plans, maintenance plans, logistic solutions and service schedules
• participate in the 24/7 duty on call Offshore Services Renewables
• you report directly to the Operations Manager Offshore Services

What do you need?

• high level or university degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineer, marine engineering or a comparable discipline

• knowledge and experience (+5 years) in managing offshore projects, preferably in maintenance and services
• extensive experience in the technical field of offshore electrical/mechanical engineering
• experience in managing contracts

• hands on mentality, willing to take up a broad range of activities from work preparation up to contract management
• ability to analyse multiple sources of data, make connections & create high quality solutions, prioritising the key issues & consequences
• ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to become acquainted with a range of topics

The department Monitoring and Maintenance is responsible for executing offshore wind service contracts meaning full monitoring and multidisciplinary maintenance services for entire offshore wind farms. This includes the monitoring and maintenance of substations, wind turbines, hardware, software, low, medium and high voltage and auxiliary installations.

In addition, this department is responsible for a part the offshore commissioning and warranty resolution of Equans built Offshore Substations.

Package Manager (Offshore Wind)

Equans is looking for a Package Manager (Offshore Wind). In this role you are active in the Offshore division in Hoboken.

In the context of substation projects within the Offshore division, you are responsible for the delivery of a package of systems. You manage scope, time, budget, quality, safety, risk and interfaces during the complete project lifecycle.

You functionally report to the Project Manager. For the systems in the package you ensure the smooth delivery of the complete scope by the suppliers and team members involved.

Your mission?

• reporting and communication:
  • issue a regular progress report to the Project Manager highlighting documentation status, issues, risks and delays
  • hold weekly commercial meetings with the Project Manager and Cost Controller to ensure all variations are captured and issued to the client
• scope management :
  • manage scope, deliverables and milestones in line with the overall project requirements and objectives
  • monitor the lifecycle of Technical Queries ensuring timely responses and resolution
  • ensure that freeze dates are respected and after a freeze the change management process is followed
• time management:
  • continuously ensure that package is progressing in accordance with the time schedule and that milestones are met
  • be in close contact with suppliers in a proactive way and follow up on their deliverables including document (re)submissions until acceptance. If there are delays, make the supplier commit on a recovery plan
  • if suppliers need to perform works on site ensure the timely submission of permit package and that the employees they are sending have the necessary qualifications and are registered timely
• contract management and procurement:
  • organize the preparation of RFQs, the evaluation of offers, contract negotiations and signing in cooperation with the Procurement team
  • you are responsible for the smooth interaction between the project and suppliers: guarantee responsiveness, progress and good cooperation from the two sides. If necessary send early warnings and notices of defaults or defects in cooperation with the Contract Manager
• cost management:
  • continuously control the package budget in cooperation with the Project Manager, Cost Controller and system engineers
  • negotiate and ensure smooth handling of variation orders
• risk management:
  • identify risks related to the system or supplier, define and continuously follow up the mitigation plan with the supplier, System Engineer and other team members
• quality management:
  • work with the Quality Manager to develop and follow up the quality management plan and system inspection and test plan (ITP)
  • follow up on timely resolution of punches. Punches can only be closed after approval of the related Equans team members. FAT equipment may only be shipped punch-free, exceptions must be explicitly approved by the responsible System Engineer, the Quality Manager and Project Manager. MC punches must be solved before HAT and HAT punches must be solved before sail-away
  • review of key deliverables - ensure that review procedure is followed
  • collect lessons learned and ensure implementation of company/division procedures, templates and standards
• HSE:
  • work with the HSE Manager and supplier to ensure works are performed in accordance with the HSE plan
  • in case of incidents involve the supplier and ensure any resulting actions are picked up adequately
• internal contacts: project team, Equans Offshore departments and other divisions within Equans
• external contacts: suppliers, clients and partners

Do you possess the following qualifications & skills?

• university level degree, master of science in engineering (mechanical/electrical/electromechanical)
• minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within offshore, renewables or substations
• demonstrated experience with budgets, scheduling and risk evaluation is a plus
• knowledge of and experience in the offshore wind industry is desired
• project management certification is strongly preferred
• demonstrated ability to manage multiple suppliers simultaneously
• demonstrated ability to manage people from all types of fields of expertise
• knowledge of cost control philosophy, estimating and change management procedures required
• advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Visio
• good knowledge of and experience with MS Project, Primavera
• good analytical skills
• you are able to structure and prioritize your own work and can work under set time frame 
• strong communication skills
• you are able to manage good relationships with the project management team, the client and our partners while monitoring Equans’ interests. You are a team player and have a pragmatic and pro-active approach
• leadership capabilities and experience in managing vendors and partners
• it is possible that short missions abroad could apply for meetings with vendors or clients

Dans le cadre de cette fonction, vous restez actif au bureau lors de l’engineering & les processus d’offres, et sur site lors du lancement et déroulement du projet. Pendant la phase d’offres, vous agissez en tant que Bid Manager, et devenez le Project Manager une fois l’account obtenu.

Quelles sont les tâches quotidiennes d’un Senior Project Manager ?

• aspects techniques :
  Nos projets concernent des installations thermiques et énergétiques impliquant un large éventail de techniques : process, génie civile, acier, équipements, tuyauterie, électricité, automatisation…
• aspect de gestion :
  Vous avez la responsabilité finale de votre projet et êtes responsable des aspects contractuels.
  Ce faisant, vous veillez à la sécurité et au respect des exigences contractuelles (performances, qualité ...), des deadlines et du budget. Si nécessaire, vous pouvez vous appuyer sur le département juridique ou HSE.
  Vous rendez compte à votre hiérarchie de manière régulière.

Assistant Project Manager

Equans zoekt een Assistant Project Manager - Elektromechanica.Ben je op zoek naar een functie waar je projectmatig kan werken en hierin verder kan evolueren? Lees dan zeker verder en solliciteer! Je bent de spil in verschillende projecten en zorgt voor de projectopvolging. Je staat hiervoor in nauw contact met de klanten, werfleiders, andere collega’s en jouw Project Manager. Op een project ben je verantwoordelijk voor het coördineren en controleren van projectgebonden activiteiten, zoals de installatie, project controlling, veiligheid, kwaliteit etc. Dit is steeds in samenwerking met en ondersteund door de Project Manager. In het leertraject zal je doorheen de projecten verschillende rollen en verantwoordelijkheden op jou nemen, met als doel te groeien binnen de organisatie. 
De projecten bevinden zich voornamelijk in de regio Antwerpen/Kempen binnen de chemische, petrochemische, farmaceutische en nucleaire sector.  
Je verantwoordelijkheden zijn onder andere:

• de communicatie verzorgen met de klant(en) en intern
• vlot en efficiënt samenwerken met collega’s
• de nodige projectadministratie verzorgen
• opstellen van een veiligheidsdossier/projectplan
• bijwonen van werfvergaderingen
• opstellen van technische fiches, budgetten, meetstaten ...
• ontvangen van offerten en lastenboeken doornemen
• bijhouden en voorbereiden van verrekeningen
• controle bestellingen
• voorbereiding van dossiers
• opstellen en aanvragen van bestelbonnen
• opmetingen op de werven

 
Wat heb je nodig?

• je behaalde een masterdiploma in elektromechanica
• een eerste ervaring in een technische projectomgeving is een troef, maar geen must
• je werkt nauwkeurig en graag met cijfers, en hebt kennis van Excel
• je beschikt over het nodige doorzettingsvermogen om deadlines te behalen
• je werkt graag samen met anderen maar werkt ook zelfstandig opdrachten af
• van nature ben je een vlotte communicator, denk je klantgericht en neem je graag initiatieven

Construction Site Coördinator

Wat ga je doen als Construction Site Coördinator bij Equans?

• je bent verantwoordelijk voor de uit te voeren on site werkzaamheden en zorgt voor een veilige, efficiënte en effectieve uitvoering
• je kan leiding geven aan een klein team
• je verzorgt de nodige rapportages zoals dagverslagen, gepresteerde uren, meerwerken …
• je pleegt periodiek overleg met je verantwoordelijke aangaande competenties en kwantiteit van de benodigde mensen en middelen
• het plaatsen van tubing, fittings, kabelbanen, kabels en het aansluiten van sensoren, actoren en motoren zijn jou niet vreemd
• je hebt er geen probleem mee om soms zelfstandig bij de klant of in de werkplaats een project uit te voeren
• je werkt nauw samen met de Project Manager en bent samen met hem/haar verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren/begeleiden van een SAT
• het bewaken van kosten en te presteren uren bij de afgegeven werkopdrachten
• in samenspraak met je leidinggevende school je je technische en (inter-)persoonlijke competenties bij binnen één van onze Equans opleidingscentra

Onze nieuwe collega heeft volgende troeven:

• je bent elektromechanisch geschoold en behaalde een hoger diploma of gelijkwaardig door ervaring
• P&ID’s, elektrische schema’s, general arrangements, constructietekeningen … kunnen interpreteren en uitleggen aan het field team is een must
• je werkt volgens de gekende veiligheidsprocedures
• je bent hands-on, flexibel en fier op je werk
• je hebt oog voor orde, netheid en kwaliteit
• je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en Engels; Frans is een plus

 In onze vestiging te Lillo worden high-tech analyser houses, shelters, skids en containerized packages gebouwd welke het kloppend hart vormen van een chemisch, petrochemische installatie. Verder maken we in Lillo de nieuwste toepassingen welke direct gelinkt zijn aan de fabricage van duurzame energie zoals waterstof.
