Multiskilled Engineer
Equans is looking for a Multiskilled Engineer to join our team in Slough on a permanent basis for our HMCTS contracts. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company van and benefits package.
General Overview:
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical Buildings Services Engineering plant, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and EQUANS processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
-Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM.
-Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
-Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
-Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
-Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
-Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
-To develop a good working relationship with all members of EQUANS staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
-Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
-Ensure the professional image of EQUANS is presented to clients at all times
-Ensure up to date plant logs are kept at all times
-Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of EQUANS are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
-Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
-To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
-To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
-Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
-Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
-Ensure CAFM system, e.g. PlanOn, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
-To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with EQUANS’ Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system).
-To carry out any other task as directed by the account management team.
-The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
Client / Customer
• Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
• Coordinate quotations with the contract manager
• Production of information for quotations
Helpdesk - PPM
• Support the Helpdesk as required when reporting or updating planned and reactive maintenance
• Be available for out of hours call-out support for the contract
Compliance
• To gain Technical Appointments as required e.g. LVCP/LVAP/Mechanical/Pressure CP.
• Produce Condition / Dilapidation Reports as required
• Ensure supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur
SHEQ
• Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager
• Ensure you work to company health and safety policy
• Ensue PPE is safe to use
• Report accident and near misses in a timely manner
• Ensure your test equipment is within calibration
• Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works
Impact:
Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Multiskilled Engineer who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor’s, producing high quality reports on their findings and work. The role will involve being the face of EQUANS so smart appearance and being able to discuss findings with others including customers is required.
Complexity:
The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and diagnose and rectify both Electrical and Mechanical faults and issues unaided.

Vos missions principales sont :
- Etudier les plannings prévisionnels pour définir les priorités d’exécution et définit et mettre en oeuvre les plannings de détail
- Porter ou contribuer au chiffrage des projets, et animer une relation de proximité client.
- Assurer le suivi de l’évolution de l’avancement des travaux par rapport aux prévisions et/ou besoins particuliers du client
- Mettre en place et gèrer les moyens logistiques, humains et matériels nécessaires à la réalisation des travaux
- Réaliser l’approvisionnement des moyens matériels (équipements, outillages spécialisés, etc.) et selon l’importance du chantier s’occuper des achats de fournitures, incorporables et consommables
- Définir avec les chefs de chantiers/chefs d’équipes, les besoins spécifiques en personnel et en sous-traitance, participer à la recherche si nécessaire et vérifier l’affectation du personnel suivant les plannings
- Mettre en place les visites générales ou spécifiques de chantiers
- Participer ou établir avec la direction de chantier la situation mensuelle d’exploitation, et les prévisions
- Etre l’interlocuteur privilégié du client pour la réalisation des travaux et participer aux réunions de coordination ou de synthèse
- Entretenir des relations permanentes aussi bien avec les interlocuteurs du client (travaux, planification, sécurité, qualité, etc.) qu’avec des organismes extérieurs (organismes de contrôle, pompiers, premiers secours, gendarmerie, organismes publics, etc.)
- Participer activement à l’élaboration du plan de prévention avec le client et le fait appliquer. Il est responsable de la sécurité des personnels et des installations sous sa responsabilité ou dans son périmètre
- S’assurer que le personnel mis à sa disposition respecte les règles de sécurité
- Faire respecter les plans qualité et s’assurer que les contrôles qualité garantissant la qualité des prestations soient correctement effectués et gérés.
- Contribuer à l’animation opérationnelle des chantiers.
- Participer à la fidélisation et au développement du portefeuille client de son entité. Il peut également être un appui technique pour le développement de projet de certains clients.
Votre profil est :
Formation : BTS, DUT, licences professionnelles ou écoles d’ingénieurs généralistes ou spécialisées dans l'un des métiers du chantier, vous bénéficiez d’une 1ère expérience réussie dans la gestion des travaux en environnement industriel (Pétrochimie, nucléaire, Pharmaceutique…).
Compétence souhaitée à dominante mécanique.

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team at Fife Victoria Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based on a shift pattern that includes working on weekends and evenings. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

- Carry out the delivery of maintenance and reactive maintenance of the mechanical infrastructure for the hospital

DBUE Maintainer
EQUANS are recruiting for a DBUE Maintainer to be based onsite in Andover, SP10 3LF. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Provide first line maintenance for PPM schedules.
- Responsible for fault finding and diagnosis
- Responsible for participating in the configuration of deployment tranches and assessing / isolation of the DBUE post deployment
- Where required, support training activities and the movement of equipment for activities other than emergency deployment
- React to the depot during emergency call out and attend off site locations during an emergency deployment.

Technical Manager & Authorising Engineer (Water Hygiene/Mechanical Systems)
EQUANS is looking for a Technical Manager & Authorising Engineer (Water Hygiene/Mechanical Systems) to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. This is a senior role within the Technical Services Division central Engineering function. The successful candidate will lead on requests for Water Hygiene and Mechanical support across the region and will be responsible for setting standards in the Water Hygiene and Mechanical disciplines, plus assessing and appointing person into defined roles under the Equans Safety Rules and where required undertaking audits.
We are looking for a highly competent Water Hygiene specialist with Mechanical Engineering skills currently operating as a Technical Manager or Supervisor, who is ready for the next step. You’ll be joining a dynamic and growing central engineering function, with the ability to work autonomously, and sculpt the future of the support we offer. Training and development opportunities are available, as we strive to deliver more centrally, to support our operational colleagues. What will you deliver?
- Ensure the EQUANS Safe Systems of Work for Mechanical Systems (Pressure Systems and other hazardous Mechanical Systems) and Water are managed and adhered to by our field operational teams together with the specific requirements of S/HTM 04-01 for water in healthcare environments and SHTM 08-08 for Mechanical Systems in Scotland. Carry out technical training and Assessments/Appointments as governed by the various safety rules and S/HTM.
- In time the successful candidate will further develop their role in the disciplines of FGas and Confined Spaces.
- The successful candidate will have significant expertise in the management and control of complex Water Hygiene issues, and a working understanding of Mechanical systems in a manufacturing, industrial, defence, commercial and/or healthcare environment, and will use that experience to help drive up standards across the Division.
- Work within the wider Technical Team to define, implement, monitor and audit our Safe Systems of Work. By doing so the post holder will be helping to ensure that EQUANS operations are compliant across a range of different disciplines and against a range of different legislation or standards, even those disciplines where an AE isn’t strictly required.
- In addition, the role will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support across the business including into bids, projects, new opportunities and day to day operational support, including advice and guidance on best practice standards, system and operational asset performance improvements.
- Compliance assurance will be a key feature of this role, with the need for multi-site Technical and Authorising Engineer audits, requiring the ability and skills to work on own initiative, drawing on experience and guidance from the Head of Technical/Co-ordinating AE.
- Promote EQUANS within the wider market by providing representation/attendance at various seminars, trade events etc.
- The post holder must be proficient at drafting technical reports, be able to support and actively lead accident or operational incident investigations, that may have caused injury to personnel or an interruption to our customer’s operations.
- Be able to support in house training deployment needs to inform our technical resources across our contracts by deliver current training packages, and identify opportunities to enhance on these, in collaboration with operational colleagues.
