Mobile Fabric Engineer

EQUANS are recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer on the HMCTS to cover sites across Avon & Gloucestershire. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

 

What will you deliver?

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variet of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. This will include Legionella control and monitoring activities. Activities will include:
 

  • Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs 
  • Inspect /repair free standing and fitted furniture 
  • Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems 
  • Inspect/replace lamps / tubes 
  • Inspect/repair doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture. 
  • Legionella duties – tap temps and flushing 
  • Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices 
  • Plantroom inspections and AHU filter changes 
  • Reactive repairs and initial attendance for toilets, leaks and blockages 
  • Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required 
  • Carry out reactive / Ad-Hoc activities – being the first response on site, and where appropriate taking immediate action to make safe 
  • Escorting contractors

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Must hold an NVQ (or similar) in either Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating Services.
  • Demonstrable experience in either capentry, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment. 
  • Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques. 
  • Understanding of Legionella control techniques e.g tap flushing.
  • Due to the nature of the nature of the contract, you will be required to go through an enhanced security vetting process which will include a criminal records check.

Mobile Handyperson

EQUANS are recruiting for a Mobile Handyperson to be based in Durrington, Worthing working on our Southern Water contract covering multiple sites in the Sussex area. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week, there is also a requirement to be part of an on-call rota with this currently being 1 in 5. On offer is a competitive salary banding of £28,000 - £32,000, dependant on skills and experience and benefits package.

You will work closely with the Southern Water Helpdesk to deliver high working standards and safe maintenance practices in the delivery of the TFM (Total Facilities Management) services, to deliver on the terms of the Southern Water contract.

What will you deliver?

 

  • Completion of PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirement
  • To provide support and expertise to assist the helpdesk team and operational team
  • To supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors and report any issues to Senior Operational Staff
  • To ensure all statutory records and logbooks are available and up to date
  • To be aware of and have a good working understanding and practical hands-on input, in the control of legionella, asbestos and associated required works
  • Other duties include but not limited to: Fire door safety checks, water hygiene checks, emergency lighting checks, daily, weekly & monthly PPM checks, basic plumbing tasks, carpentry, painting & decorating, building & installation repair, attend reactive calls, putting together furniture & equipment, installing appliances & machines
  • Build a strong relationship with all customers to ensure professional service delivery and enhanced customer service
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies are followed as required

Multi-Skilled Plumber

EQUANS are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Plumber to be based in London working with the IWG (International Workplace Group) who have clients such as Regus, Signature, Clubhouse & HQ among their portfolio. This is a mobile role and covering multiple sites under this highly valued contract for the business. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. What will you deliver?

 

  • Fault find and carry out repairs on all mechanical / electrical systems and HVAC equipment
  • Accountable for ensuring all Environmental/Temperature Control rooms and equipment are available for end users
  • Ensure the site’s logbook is kept up to date, and all losses, recoveries and additions are recorded appropriately
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and operational upkeep of portable and fixed equipment
  • Carry out all PPMs and reactive tasks as necessary to onsite HVAC plant and specialist equipment
  • Undertake any other engineering tasks as required by the Help Desk or Line Manager
  • Ensure that PPM and Reactive jobs are processed, and defects are diagnosed, and faults are repaired and tested
  • Will be required to take part in the on-call rota
  • Occasional light office moves and installation of furniture
  • Door maintenance on furniture and closures etc

General Maintenance Operative

EQUANS are recruiting for a General Maintenance Operative on the HMCTS contract in a mobile capacity covering South London. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
 

What will you deliver?

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variet of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. This will include Legionella control and monitoring activities. Activities will include:
 

  • Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs 
  • Inspect /repair free standing and fitted furniture 
  • Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems 
  • Inspect/replace lamps / tubes 
  • Inspect/repair doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture. 
  • Legionella duties – tap temps and flushing 
  • Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices 
  • Plantroom inspections and AHU filter changes 
  • Reactive repairs and initial attendance for toilets, leaks and blockages 
  • Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required 
  • Carry out reactive / Ad-Hoc activities – being the first response on site, and where appropriate taking immediate action to make safe 
  • Escorting contractors

  • Would be desirable if you hold an NVQ (or similar) in either Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating Services.

Maintenance Assistant

EQUANS are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to be based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The position of Maintenance Assistant is pivotal in the delivery of the services at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Working as part of a team within the Technical Department the successful applicant will delivery maintenance and repair works throughout site.

General Overview

The post holder will have the required maintenance skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the internal and external fabric. Working within the fabric team and reporting to the fabric supervisor and fabric manager.

What will you deliver?

  • Carry out and assist with maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
  • Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to ensure the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and visitors.
  • Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, e.g. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.
  • Undertake training to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are strictly adhered to.
  • Liaise with and maintain good working relationship with clients
  • Liaise with supervisor and line manager regarding any issues on site that you feel in your professional opinion need to be escalated
  • Assist the subcontractors whilst attending site
  • Work Overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required.
  • Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Fabric Supervisor.
  • To liaise with Fabric Supervisor and Fabric Manager regarding request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary.
  • Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use all relevant drawings and schematics.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with published procedures.
  • Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
  • Complete all Task/Risk Assessment sheets relating to work.
  • Use all of relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Engie Guidelines and Controls e.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.
  • Have an understanding relationship of other craftsmen’s work to his own.
  • Obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques.
  • Understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance crafts
  • Carry out any other task as requested/required by supervisor, managers.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
  • Assist trades if required
