Gas Engineer

Equans is looking for x3 Gas Engineers to join our team in Rotherham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary,  and benefits package.

This role will be within our repairs and maintenance team. 

You will also be required to work and be part on the on call out of hours rota.

What will you deliver?

  • To carry out property survey/resident profile visits with RLO
  • Create design drawings and material orders
  • Replace existing/install new full gas central heating systems as part of an install team to be fully working heating and hot water at the end of day one
  • To carry out general maintenance of all plumbing and building systems as necessary
  • Be part of an on call Rota to cover OOH breakdowns as required

Hard FM Senior Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hard FM Senior Operations Manager to join our team providing FM maintenance at Central Middlesex University Hospital in Park Royal, NW10. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. 

The role:

  • Will report to the Contract Manager
  • To facilitate Hard FM activities undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned/reactive maintenance and minor project work
  • To be responsible for all operational staff, budgets and performance of sub-contractors within this work stream.
  • To maintain a close liaison with the Client FM Function to ensure day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met.
  • To be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets and compliance with the service level standards whilst continually enforcing cost efficiencies and maximising value received.
  • To recruit, select, motivate and manage the Hard FM services teams and ensure ongoing development to the highest standards of professionalism and customer service
  • Working 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with participation in the management call-out rota system to assist the Company in responding to emergency situations.

The person:

  • Will hold a relevant qualification in a Hard FM related subject, ideally with membership of a professional institution and/or management qualifications (ILM, BIFM, etc.)
  • Must have experience of managing staff in Hard FM in a healthcare environment
  • Will have specialist knowledge of processes and procedures within mechanical and electrical disciplines together with excellent IT skills
  • Will be able to demonstrate sound financial acumen and be able to interpret financial accounts

Senior Maintenance Shift Electrician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent shift-based role working 38.5 hours per week on a rolling rota of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off - DAY SHIFTS ONLY from 07:00 to 19:00. 

The role:

  • Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor
  • To maintain all buildings and plant to the required levels as set out by management
  • Carry out a range of building service tasks, mainly electrical and mechanical planned and reactive works
  • To ensure prompt and accurate completion of associated paperwork, recording recommendations and/or material requirements accordingly
  • To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials to ensure the highest levels of equipment and building availability.
  • To oversee specialist sub-contractors
  • To work to the highest standard and in full compliance with statutory legislation
  • To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings, including participation in a call out work rota
  • Working 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of days only – 07:00 to 19:00


The person:

  • Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; mechanical qualification/experience is a bonus
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable
  • Must be appointed in at least 1 AP/CP role, and attend any training as necessary to maintain this
  • Desirable to have experience of building services/maintenance/facilities management 
  • Will be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a current passport.

Document Control Manager

EQUANS are recruiting for a Document Control Manager to be based in Manchester. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

  • Support the teams to effectively manage all information flow, to maintain and control the influx and issue of drawings, specification, surveys, reports, documents, and trackers, to ensure all departments and team members have the latest and correct information that has been through the workflow process.
  • To assist in the running of Equans CDE (Viewpoint) and supporting information management systems.
  • Must be proficient in using Viewpoint & Fieldview.
  • To consult with other Document Controllers and project teams across the business to allow for effective feedback and reporting to feed back to the Business Information Manager.
  • To sit as member of the Viewpoint Community forum within Equans.
  • Offer training and support to users.
  • To support change management.
  • Outline procedures to system users
  • Manage/Support Northwest Document Controllers
  • Assist in mainstreaming systems and procedures across the business. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development of the utilization of Viewpoint across all projects.
  • Monitor and report on the systems to ensure it is being used effectively.
  • When required: Issue protocol documents/coordinate set up of new projects/invites to Viewpoint.
  • When required: To QA check:
    • That all drawings/documents received/uploaded on the system have been correctly named in accordance with the projects naming convention.
    • That items have been uploaded to relevant workflow.
    • The revision sequence is correct.
    • Vote at the QA stage of the workflow
  • When applicable: monitor workflows ensuring time scales and user efficiency.
  • To oversee multiple projects on the system simultaneously.
  • When applicable: Monitor / assist consultants uploading, ensuring all necessary protocols are followed and assist in closing out issues efficiently.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for new starters, consultants, and contractors on the CDE.
  • When required: Support the teams with setting up subcontract/ handover package folders on Viewpoint.
  • Support the users in using all aspects Viewpoint & Fieldview
  • When required: Assist in collating information from the system for handovers.
  • Reconfigure Refurb Project templates on Viewpoint.

Technical IT Service Desk Analyst

EQUANS is looking for a Technical IT Service Desk Advisor to join our team based at our office in Long Benton, Newcastle on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £22,260 per annum, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package. 

The Technical IT Service Desk Analyst is required to support the IT Service Desk Team Leader in providing an efficient, cost effective, customer focused IT Service Desk which provides a single point of contact to log, manage and action all customer incidents and service requests.

What will you deliver? 

  • Answer calls and respond to ITSM tickets within agreed KPI targets whilst adhering to quality monitoring guidelines
  • Provision of first line support, including but not limited to triage and appropriate troubleshooting, correct incident categorisation and resolution where possible
  • Retention of end-to-end ownership whilst working with IT Resolver Groups and third parties
  • Communicate incident resolution or request fulfilment to the customer
  • Log all customer issues in the ITSM system accurately and in full detail, completing all administration within timescales and to a high level of accuracy
  • Adhere to effective ITSM queue management
  • Keep up to date with all changes in the EQUANS environment to facilitate understanding and diagnosis of user faults / requirements to ensure point of call resolution is achievable
  • Assessing the criticality of each situation by being proactive and asking for detailed information to help assess urgency and impact
  • Escalate to the relevant Team Leader/Senior Analyst for any high priority business-critical issues or complaints
  • Provision of access management, including but not limited to onboarding of new starters, new starter inductions, system access modifications and timely processing of leavers
  • Develop skill set to provide guidance on all supported software and hardware deployed by the organisation
  • Perform remote / onsite desktop support, including installing and upgrading of software and hardware components
  • Install new / upgrade existing software packages via SCCM
  • Provide support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining IT related policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner
  • Ensure that priority setting, and escalation procedures are applied effectively and that all complaints are responsibly and professionally resolved
  • Contributing to Information Security by assisting in the preservation of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, including but not limited to adhering to and supporting Information Security standards, procedures and policies and identifying and raising security incidents as required to the Information Security Team
  • Support audits (internal and external) by complying with requirements to security policies and GDPR
  • Create or amend documentation of new and existing IT Service Desk processes
  • Carry out any ad hoc tasks/duties which may reasonably be expected as requested by IT Management.

IT Service Desk Analyst

EQUANS is looking for an IT Service Desk Advisor to join our team based in Long Benton, Newcastle on a temporary (12 months) basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £21,255, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package. 

 

The IT Service Desk Analyst is required to support the IT Service Desk Team Leader in providing an efficient, cost effective and customer focused IT Service Desk which provides a single point of contact for all users of IT through the logging and management of all incidents and service requests.

What will you deliver? 

  • Provide day to day first line IT Service Desk support
  • Correctly log, prioritise, assign, track and respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner, meeting agreed SLAs, and according to agreed standards and procedures
  • Identify and resolve incidents and Service Requests within agreed SLAs, ensuring 1st line resolution is achieved wherever possible, referring to additional resolver groups where required, whilst maintaining ownership of the request through to completion
  • Escalate high priority incidents to both internal and external teams, as appropriate
  • Keep users and other interested parties informed of progress throughout the lifecycle and ensure that corrective action is taken to avoid or minimise delays
  • Continually increase the number of incidents and requests resolved at the first point of contact
  • Appropriately apply priority setting and escalation procedures
  • Adhere to the Complaints and Escalations Processes
  • Contribute ideas for service improvements
  • Maintain support documentation of tools that are used by the IT Service Desk
  • Monitor incident trends to identify recurring problems and implement solutions that will reduce frequency of incidents
  • Provide training and knowledge articles to EQUANS IT customers to target high volume non-complex tasks to reduce contact volumes and lower our cost to serve
  • Ensure that all relevant incidents are linked to their appropriate problem
  • Ensure that the team develops effective working relationships at all levels by simplifying complex technical messages and acting as an advocate of IT both externally and internally.

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Qualification in the field of Information Technology and / or equivalent work experience
  • A good technical background with knowledge of common software packages and a broad understanding of IT Infrastructures
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware
  • Experience of desktop operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and a broad understanding of IT related permissions
  • Understanding of Networking configurations (LAN/WAN)
  • Good knowledge of a leading IT Service Management Tool
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes – particularly Incident Management, Problem Management and Request Fulfilment
  • Strong ability to quickly understand user requirements and issues
  • Professional telephone manner with ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to express solutions and ideas to colleagues and users at all levels
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • A good understanding of IT Service Desk challenges.

Head of Estates

Equans is looking for a Head of Estates to join our team in the West Midlands on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £60,000-£70,000, dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

 

The role is based at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust estate. The estates consists of retained sites throughout the area including Sandwell Hospital and Birmingham City Hospital as well as the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) that is due to start delivering clinical services in 2024. The new facility incorporates high level of modern services and technology both in terms of healthcare delivery and building management. Equans are working closely in partnership with the Trust to ensure the completed facility is of a good quality and able to provide a sustainable service to the area not only in respect to healthcare provision but also providing a diverse value to the local community.

The retained site contains a range of building styles and ages with the usual services you would expect to see in a complex facility such as a healthcare estate.

The role is to assist the Director of Estates in the provision and deliver of a high-quality maintenance service. The role will require the holder to take an active role in the day-to-day management of service delivery at the Trust sites including Sandwell Hospital, Birmingham City Hospital and Rowley Regis Hospital as well as potential involvement at the MMUH. Due to the wide range of services and systems installed within the building the role requires a wide range of skills and flexible nature but also provides the opportunity to work in a very rewarding environment with continued opportunity for learning and development.

The Head of Estates will be an essential member of the Senior Management Team with direct responsibility for the effective management of the Estates Operational team including Technical Service Managers and trade staff to ensure all maintenance activities comply with the statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines and contractual requirements to enable the Trust to provide their services to patients in a safe, high-quality environment.

We are looking for a strong strategic thinker with operational experience. The post holder will have excellent people management and collaborate and co-operate with other Service Providers to deliver a customer focused, cost effective and efficient maintenance service to the Trust. Whilst having an assigned responsibility for a specific part of the estate they will be expected to be able to assist and deputize for all areas as required.

What will you deliver?

  • Provide operational and technical expertise to the contract team
  • Develop of service-related continuous improvement initiatives, from conception to introduction
  • Develop and introduce business efficiency measures to ensure a cost effective and best value approach
  • Ensure the appropriate level of AP/CP expertise is provided on the contract ensuring statutory compliance Management and delivery of FM services to satisfy service level agreements/KPIs
  • Provide adaptability & Resilience – Technical competence with requirement to lead / influence effectiveness, efficiency and continuous improvement within complex healthcare environments
  • Provide influence & pragmatism – Able to quickly assess challenges and opportunities, offer pragmatic solutions and influence direction
  • Decision making - Ability to accept and work with ambiguity in resolving high volumes of often complex challenges expediently
  • Commercial acumen – Commercially savvy in order to drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines
  • Manage and co-ordinate directly employed labour and sub-contractors in reacting to breakdowns and implementing the Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems
  • Provide technical assurance advice across the discipline of maintenance services to include complex electrical, mechanical, building and grounds and gardens service
  • Review and develop the quality of service at an operational level and Control expenditure as delegated by the Director of Estates
  • Act as Authorised or Responsible Person qualified to Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) standard where directed and appointed
  • Participate in maintenance on-call Rota
  • On occasions travel will be required across the UK and variations in working patterns may be necessary therefore flexibility will be required

  • Must have 5 years post qualification experience
  • Set direction for the effective maintenance of the estate through continuous review and modification of the Planned Preventative Maintenance program, condition reviews and asset management for mechanical, electrical, building and grounds and gardens services.
  • Experience of risk management and health and Safety
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry guidelines
  • HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline

Finance Business Partner

Equans is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team covering Lancashire on a permanent basis. This is a full time, hybrid role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

 

The role offers flexible hybrid working, there is an expectation of working on site 2 days per week.

The role would be responsible for the direct financial management of 4 key contracts in the region that generates circa £28m of revenue per annum.

Detailed analysis and financial accounting interpretation is required to fully understand the profitability drivers for the contracts & projects across the region. This will involve change modelling, benefits tracking and influencing the business to deliver additional value to all stakeholders.

The post holder will be the “face of Finance” at the local level – communicating to/from Operations & support functions and partner with the Contract team by providing financial information and interpretation, undertaking proactive analytical and other investigations, contributing to developing a better understanding of the business and improving operational performance.

What will you deliver?

  • Monthly management accounts in line with current accounting standards.
  • Forecasting P&L with detailed tracking and commentary.
  • Owners of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flows, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support New Business activities
  • Reporting in line with IFRS standards
  • Provide expert accounting, reporting and all necessary financial expertise for the sector (circa 7 contracts)
  • Balance sheet and Cash flow forecasting
  • Work with contract management to ensure that plans, budgets, and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable.
  • Manage the delivery of all financial processes to the division
  • Provide proactive input into contract negotiations and contract decision making initiatives
  • Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives
  • Drive for value at the bottom line, with a focus on % of profit and prompt invoicing
  • Ad-hoc projects, which may include Contract recovery investigations, implementation, and benefits realization

Vous êtes notre candidat idéal si :

  • Titulaire d’un CAP à BAC Pro en électricité, réseaux ou TP, vous justifiez d’une expérience professionnelle d’au moins 3 ans sur des chantiers TP et réseaux électriques extérieurs.
  • (HTA / BT / EP – travaux sous tension).
  • Vous avez idéalement 3 ans d’expérience sur des chantiers d’Eclairage Public ;
  • Vous êtes habilité TST, B2T et CACES nacelle 
  • Vous aimez travailler en extérieur et n’avez pas peur du travail en hauteur ;
  • Vous possédez le permis B et idéalement le permis C
