Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental and other related permits, licences, approvals, agreements, environmental management as well as regulatory compliance with the various applicable governing bodies. The person will also oversee the implementation of various ISO standards. The EHS professional will be in the National Capital Region to support all local operations regarding Environmental, Health and Safety for 5 main buildings all related to heating and cooling systems (power plant). The EHS Manager will have to work closely with EQUANS Services Inc. H&S department to implement policies and procedures that are aligned with the company as well as all the reporting needed for the company. Also, the HSE Manager will have to work with the operations on sites, such as the General Manager and the Operations and Maintenance Manager.

Description

General:

  • Key person for managers and employees to advise on HSE challenges on local sites;
  • Train employees on EHS procedures and policies aligned with EQUANS’s HSE program;
  • Develop specific HSE procedures on site (LOTO sheet, Risk analysis, orientation for subcontractors, waste management, etc.);
  • Implement all relevant EQUANS HSE procedures on site (example: lone worker procedure);
  • Coordinate activities and prepare/submit reporting to outside agencies;
  • Assist in the security process for the requirements on site.

Environmental:

  • Inspect, collect and analyze data required for all environmental and safety reporting;
  • Performs project support work such as emission inventory, control equipment evaluation and testing, database development and analysis of technical data for permitting studies;
  • Develop and assist the environmental program requirements, including but not limited to air, water, halocarbons, diesel tanks, mold, solid and hazardous materials, PCB, Asbestos;
  • Assist environmental compliance requirements which may include collecting records, preparing reports, monitoring/directing work performed by consultants, etc.;
  • Participate in the facility’s strategic planning and project review process, tract metrics, and support continuous improvement of the environmental management system;
  • Assist in the development and the implementation of the corporate environmental management system.

Health and Safety:

  • Develop and implement a safety program for each site to capture specific risk and maintain these documents updated;
  • Develop and maintain a contractor training program specific for each site, in compliance with EQUANS EHS policies;
  • Implement and drive the safety committee to guide the site’s safety culture;
  • Participate in incident investigation, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective action;
  • Proceed to workplace inspection and present report to Manager on site and HSE department;
  • Assess and mitigate employee exposure to hazards in the workplace;
  • Forward all corporate communication regarding H&S on site;
  • Maintain trainings records for all employees with the internal tool in place;
  • Proceed to inspection on construction site when construction is ongoing in the different buildings of our operations;
  • Implement an Observation Visit program for subcontractors on site.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in Canada;
  • Bachelor of Science in an EHS or engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience;
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial facility and/or in the energy sector, in terms environmental compliance as well as occupational Health & Safety;
  • Knowledge of French
  • Provides technical assistance within discipline field as directed.

Dit ga je doen als Cost Engineer Electrotechniek & Instrumentatie

Als Cost Engineer E&I vervul je een brede en dynamische rol waarbij je een cruciale rol speelt bij complexe vraagstukken van onze projecten. In je rol ga jij de klantvraag uitwerken tot een gedegen begroting, waarbij je het optimum zoekt tussen diepgang en nauwkeurigheid afhankelijk van de verstrekte informatie en de projectfase. Het ene moment maak je dus een detailcalculatie en het volgende moment zul je op basis van een concept ontwerp een grove begroting opzetten. Waarbij je ook de kansen en risico’s in kaart brengt en kwantificeert. Je krijgt in dit proces naast de klanten te maken met diverse stakeholders, zoals adviseurs, projectleiders en een directievoerder. Buiten deze stakeholders heb je ook te maken met de wettelijke kaders en natuurlijk de kaders van Equans. Je werkt in tender teams om zo tot een winnende aanbieding te komen.

  • adviseren van organisatie in de te volgen calculatie strategie
  • het begroten van projecten op basis van een functionele vraag tot en met het calculeren van een uitgewerkt ontwerp/bestek

  • Réaliser les plannings et le suivi de l’activité des techniciens.
  • Analyser leurs rapports et les saisir informatiquement.
  • Réaliser des petits devis issus de ces rapports et suivre la réalisation.
  • Classer les dossiers et s’assurer de l’optimisation de la gestion électronique des documents (GED).
  • Assister les équipes afin de permettre une optimisation de l’organisation (automatisation d’actions récurrentes, développement d’outils informatiques, …).
  • Remonter aux Responsables d’Affaires les écarts sur l’exécution des interventions et leur traçabilité.
  • Proposer des solutions favorables à l‘évolution de la gestion des contrats et utiliser les retours d’expérience (REX).

Outre votre expertise technique et organisationnelle, vous pouvez être l'interlocuteur/trice de nos clients et veillez à la bonne circulation des informations afin d'optimiser la réalisation des affaires.

INDUSTRIAL OPERATIVE

EQUANS are recruiting for multiple Industrial Operatives to be based in Heysham 2 Power Station LA3 2XN. These are fixed- term roles offering  37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary,  and benefits package.

Shift times:  Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 16.00 Friday 07.30- 12.30

As part of your role you will be expected to take part in the on call scheme as required.
1 x week Mon - Thurs 08.00-16.00 Fri 08.00 - 15.30.

What will you deliver?

To Provide industrial cleaning services (cleaning of floors, plant areas, fixtures and fittings) Additional duties include the provision of pumping services, leak management, forklift/tractor duties, banksmen duties and road sweeper operation. Driving, deliveries and porterage tasks will also be required at times. This may not be the extensive list of duties but training will be given for all duties.

Security Officer

Equans is looking for multiple Security Officers to join our team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, B15 2TH on a permanent basis. These are full time positions working on an average of 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,000 per year and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 12hrs shifts, comprised of 2 days - 2 night and 4 days off.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. You will patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents promptly and professionally. Your role will involve enforcing hospital policies, assisting with emergency situations, and providing support to hospital staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of all hospital areas.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical emergencies and security breaches.
  • Assist with the management of access control systems and visitor management procedures.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement agencies as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff members.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Applicants with prior security, law enforcement, or military experience are preferred.
  • Clear DBS standard level clearance.
  • Hold an SIA Licence
  • Full 5 years address history
  • Full 5 years work or education history.

Preferred:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Additional training in security or related fields is a plus.
  • Display customer-focused behaviour
