Equans is looking for a Office Services Administrator to join our team based Heysham Nuclear Powerstation on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

To be an integral member of the Reception, Service desk & Office support team delivering various Office Services tasks. Must be a key team member in delivering the required level of administrative service.

What will you deliver?

  • Work with appropriate line supervisors to ensure that tasks are planned and delivered to client specification and agreed service requirements
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H/S and Environmental regulations
  • Provide out of hours cover where required
  • Complete relevant paperwork
  • Compliant with all safety related policies and procedures
  • Shows clear understanding of role objectives and responsibilities
  • Work schedules and projects are prioritised appropriately and delivered on time
  • Identification and reporting of areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
  • Appropriate risk assessments undertaken on all work
  • All paperwork completed (permits, reports and work order cards) is accurate and submitted within set time scales
  • Delivers/Contributes to pre-job briefs, exchanging ideas and putting forward suggestions to improve team performance.

Who are we looking for?

  • Excellent oral and communication skills with internal and external customers, co-workers, and contractors
  • Ability to liaise effectively with Management as well as front line operatives
  • Knowledge of computers (Word, Excel and Outlook) Proficient use of service desk systems and processes requests in an efficient manner
  • Enthusiastic and committed to provide a professional, high-quality service to the Company and the client
  • Ideally, an understanding of fundamental HR practises and procedures
  • Experience in payroll and financial payment systems is essential, as well as general financial awareness where appropriate
  • Plan, organise and monitor several activities at the same time.

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
